Model, goat shed

Model for a goat shed located in Erzincan, eastern Turkey. In the scope of a nature recovery project, initiated by an international recognised artist and director, commissioned renowned designers and architects to build an open kitchen, a chicken coop, a goat shed etc.

The simplicity, functionality and aesthetics make this project outstanding, which also won a prize in the project category in the 17th National Architecture Awards. It uses rammed earth for the construction of the walls and shapes the surrounding soil to create a connection to the shelter. For the roofing wooden beams and tiles had been used. The simplicity and usage of natural materials is also transformed into the model. The walls and the surrounding area are made out of sand mixture framed in a concrete base. Its roof is made out of wood sticks and paper.

Model, winery

This project shows a winery which was built in Izmir, a city on the southwest coast of Turkey. The building itself is surrounded by vineyards One half of it sits in the ground, containing the wine silos and a laboratory, while the upper part contains a representational reception room.

As the project aims to integrate with the surroundings of the vineyard, and because of the fulminant impression of the landscape, I decided to represent the strong impact of the surroundings by creating a textured material made out of wood shavings and concrete. Furthermore I created a textured mold to visualize the traces that wine growing creates. The same material is used on all constructional parts that are build with natural stone from the area.
